My smoker, received as a wedding gift in 1992, looks exactly like this, thus my review here even though my smoker model ends with a C. We have been very pleased with this smoker over the years. It has turned out succulent smoked turkey, chicken, fish, and pork roasts. Sadly, this morning, as I proceeded to smoke a brined turkey, the plug kept tripping the breaker. I think that may be salt related as we've been near the ocean the last two years. I cannot complain. We got our use out of it and I would replace it with the same one if Brinkmann cannot sell me a replacement heating element first, as the rest of the smoker is still in good condition. I surely prefer smoking over grilling because my food does not ignite.

He was so excited to receive, having wanted to try a smoker for a while now. He opened box immediately and began putting together. As noted in other reveiws, he did have to pop the side back together. Towards completing assembly he noted that he was missing some parts. He contacted firm next day. He was told it would take a couple of weeks to receive parts. It is now middle of August and we have not received parts. The parts we are missing are principal to the completion of assembly for use, so we have a smoker thatwe have not been able to use yet. I held off posting my reveiw, awaiting coming of parts...6 weeks, no parts, and unable to use smoker I give them one star for supplying metal in a box painted the color it was supposed to be and for having somebody write back the phone at customer service...now if somebody could indubitably ship those 5 pieces we are missing I would be a bit more satisfied.

Shoddy workmanship : Brinkmann 810-7080-7 Gourmet Electric Smoker and Grill with Vinyl Cover, Black

I like the Brinkman galvanic Smoker because I dont have to keep checking the temp on it like I had to with my charcoal smoker. Once you plug it in it keeps the temp pretty constant. I just check it every hour to see if it needs more wood to make smoke. (Which it commonly does).This one has 2 grill shelves to put food on and I have found it to be plentifulness of room. Only design flaw I feel is, the door on the front is suppose to be so you can check the wood status, and add more if needed. Which in principles sounds great, but you cant put the wood on the heating element so it must be settled very carefully around it. There isnt much room around the heating element and it takes some maneuvering so as not to burn yourself and not get the wood on the heating element. Would have given it 3 1/2 stars if I had the option.
